Ankers was a lovely man, not as tall as I like my men to be but lovely nonetheless. He had slightly greying, short hair and the bluest eyes I’d ever seen. One of the things I remember most about him was his stubbly beard, it was just the right length to add an extra layer

Jaff was an Shaadi.com find which literally means ‘Wedding.com’ Jaff was from the same town as me, older and worked for the council. My bestie encouraged me to embrace Jaff because he seemed a nice man and had a good sense of humour. Admittedly he wasn’t my ‘type’ as in he wasn’t older, taller or
